"She Who Watches" , Tsagaglalal, is an historic Columbia River petroglyph by early native Americans some 400 years ago and is thought to have been created then to be a watchful guardian spirit over a dying and dispossessed people who lived on the Washington side of the Columbia River. It is one of the most popularly visited sites today in the Northwest for those interested in early Native American culture. It can still be seen in its original location, at Horse Thief Lake State Park, Washington. This original watercolor by Carol McLaughlin depicts the rock art subject with early Columbia River basketry.
